Mission

The NWCCC is an Owners’ Forum for Information, Education and Networking. The Council focuses on owners’ needs, providing programs exploring best practices in cost-effective construction for capital and maintenance projects. Our goal is to assist members in professional development and improved organizational operations.

History

Founded in the late 1980s as a collaboration of industrial owners, the NWCCC has expanded its focus to both public and private owner organizations. The membership routinely shares information on capital construction practices and cost-effective project solutions.

The NWCCC is one of 42 regional councils, formed in response to a mandate from the Business Roundtable (BRT). The BRT’s research has documented the need for more cost-effective construction practices in the US. Along with improving construction cost effectiveness, NWCCC programs now focus on all aspects of the capital project and maintenance process.

Each year the NWCCC sponsors monthly half-day educational programs and a full day annual conference in the fall. Members come from throughout the Pacific Northwest to share knowledge and successful techniques. In addition, the NWCCC monitors activities of other national construction education organizations to insure that programs are current with the industry’s latest theories and practices.

It is the NWCCC’s goal to bring exceptional informative and educational programs and unique networking opportunities to its membership.
