SECTION V
MEMBERSHIP
5.1 Classes of Membership and Eligibility
A. Full Voting Members: Individuals, proprietorships, partnerships, or corporation;
agencies or other instrumentalities of federal, state or local governments, public
corporations or authorities, public or private institutions of higher education or
departments thereof, or other public entities; residing or having legal existence within
the geographical area of interest, or who are now, have been, or will be involved in
construction or construction related purchases from contractors, engineers, architects and
others, and whose business is not construction or the providing of construction services
shall be eligible for Full Voting Membership in the NORTHWEST CONSTRUCTION CONSUMER
COUNCIL. Full Voting Members are sometimes referred to herein as "members" or
the "membership."
The voting power of the NORTHWEST CONSTRUCTION CONSUMER COUNCIL shall be vested in the
membership. Each member shall be entitled to one vote in the election of officers and in
transacting other business of the NORTHWEST CONSTRUCTION CONSUMER COUNCIL and in all
matters relating to the NORTHWEST CONSTRUCTION CONSUMER COUNCIL. A member may also
designate in writing one or more alternates, any one of whom may represent the member in
the absence of its designated representative. There shall be no restrictions upon the
number of representatives of any members who may attend or participate in discussion at
regular or special meetings of the membership; however, each member shall be entitled to
only one vote.
B. Non-voting Affiliate Members: Individuals, proprietorships, partnerships or
corporations residing or having legal existence in the geographic area of interest engaged
in business or the practice of a profession having an interest in the construction
industry, and not eligible for full voting membership, shall be eligible for non-voting
affiliated membership in the NORTHWEST CONSTRUCTION CONSUMER COUNCIL. Non-voting
affiliated members are sometimes referred to herein as "affiliates."
